5k/10k and 1 mile Fun Run

a North Aurora Days event

 

Scenic run through the beautiful Mooseheart campus. Run will go through the campus, around the lake, under a tree where bad eagles have made their home. This event is a fundraiser for the North Aurora River District Alliance (NOARDA) and the West Aurora High School Cross Country Teams. Please support our community and come out for the great scenic run.

 

Event Information

 

Course is situated on concrete and gravel terrain, all private streets. Water stations will be at 1 and 2 marks. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.

 

Race Times

 

1 mile fun run – 7:05 am
10k – 7:30 am
5k – 7:45 am

Wednesday – July 31, 3-7pm

North Aurora, IL

Saturday – August 3, 6-7am
Mooseheart
Pickup will be available prior to race start.

 

Parking

 

Public parking on campus. Enter off Mooseheart Rd at the stadium entrance. Designated parking area will be marked and volunteers will be there to direct you.

Need to arrive prior to 7:05 due to our 10k starting line blocking the entrance to parking.

Awards

 

Medals will be given for 1st-3rd place in the following divisions for both the 5k and 10k races:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. For Certified races, these age groups may be combined but not divided.

Awards will be given for the 1st-3rd overall Male/Female in both the 5k and 10k.

 

Shirts

 

Tech shirts will be provided to all racers who register by July 12. After that date we will provide shirts until they are no longer available. To guarantee a shirt in your size register by July 12.
